My friend who applied at a Walmart a week ago about 30 minutes away a from me got a call back the next day after applying though even though. The stores in your area may do things differently but figured it’s worth posting a differing experience that might be happening and why. So I’m 16 and I applied for Walmart this weekend on Saturday (I’ve never worked before) and I personally think I did well, I passed the assessment but I haven’t gotten Under Consideration yet. After a week I said screw it, called them, and the People Lead (aka HR) offered me the job on the spot If it helps, when I called I said something along the lines of 'I. They don’t bump people up the list just because they call, if anything they see it as desperation. Definitely not stupid I applied at a local grocery store two separate times in the span of 3 months and didnt bother to call. Assessment Active means that the applicant has successfully completed the online application and is now being considered for the job for which they have applied. Again, this is how my store handles things. Assessment Active is a term used by Walmart to let applicants know that their application is being reviewed. But there’s a ton of people that never get contacted because we’ve already found a good fit. If the applicant meets the needs were looking for at the time then they get contacted and go from there. At my store, our hiring manager and team leads go through applications together and figure out a good fit based off the application. If your job application has been under review for a month, it can mean one of two things. You reading about people calling a store every week to ask about your application may work for some places (squeaky wheel gets the grease and all that) but not everywhere. Please contact any member of management at your nearest Walmart Inc. If you need assistance in the application or hiring process to accommodate a disability, you may request an accommodation at any time. If you could see how many applications a store has for people wanting a job… you’d understand that not everyone is going to be hired and not everyone will even be talked to.ĭifferent stores handle things differently. Walmart Inc., offers reasonable accommodation in the employment process for individuals with disabilities. For some reason, a lot of people are under the impression that them submitting an application automatically means they’re guaranteed a job or that they’re guaranteed to be contacted about it.
