Good motor but it blew up when the oil injection failed merc supplied a new block I paid the labor. Then in 96' we got a 1600 Monark SC and moved the 35 to the brand new boat. Talked dad into getting a 80s model Bluefin with a 35 johnson somewhere in the early 90s I am guessing this will be my last vessel I will ever have.īack in the late 80s dad got a 14' fiberglass whatever v boat with a 5HP Johnson Seahorse from the 60s maybe? Lots more room with it being 17'-11" and has a huge 99" beam. This is my first boat that has a walk thru windshield and it's lived up to every thing I hoped for. I hope who ever has it now appreciates the care I took in that boat.Ĥth boat is my new 2015 Polar Kraft 179 WT Frontier powered by a 90 HO E-TEC. This was my first NEW boat ever and served me VERY WELL for 30 years. Looked real great when it was all done and it served me quite well for about 4-5 years.ģrd boat was a 16'-4" 1985 Grumman side console that had a 84" beam and a Johnson 50 hp VRO outboard. I completely remodel it with carpeting, swivel seats and repainted the 50 hp Mercury. I originally powered it with a 7.5 hp Merc but quickly purchased a new 25 hp Johnson.Ģnd boat was a 16 foot Starcraft that was on the shallow side and was a bit narrow in the beam. I tried everything to stop the leaks but after 3-4 years I gave up and sold it to guy that only wanted the trailer. This boat was made of HEAVY aluminum and leaked like a pig. 1st boat was a "Lone Star" that was 16+ foot long and had a wide beam but I really don't know what it was. ![]()
